More than gore

A while back I ran into a hidden treasure trove of 80's skate stickers at the PENNSAUKEN MART. Here are some of my favorites from the artists Vernon Courtlandt Johnson and Jim Phillips. I used to just slap these on school notebooks, signs around our skate spots, and whatever Powell Peralta deck I was sporting at any given time. Now I consider these works of art from the golden age of skateboarding where everything was hands-on illustrator driven and the skill of the screenprinters were an integral part of the work.
